About this role
• Understands and carries out patient care in line with Vision and Mission Statements and Objectives that suit the scope of the Outpatient Services and hospital. • Understands the service organization structure. Informs Clinic Supervisor when changes occur in circumstances which affect standards of care. • Receives clinic report and assignment before the change of clinic department. Attends meetings held by the services to discuss issues and matters pertaining to the operation of the service. • Daily routine: • Performs regular offers on all patients in the clinic to ascertain for other additional needs, talks to patient/family members. • Carbolizes workstations and equipment and tidies patient’s chairs and surrounding areas. • Maintains the cleanliness of the clinic waiting area, treatment room, wheelchair bay and reading area. • Answers phone calls and relay messages. • Responds to patient’s when patient asking. • Fully responsible for the transaction and retrieval of case notes as requested. • To ensure the charges are correct and to assist the consultant on the treatment plan for the patient. • Clear the dressing or treatment trolley each time after use. Washes instruments used and place in the appropriate place. • Check patient vital signs, weight. blood pressure after registration. • Chaperons Consultant in doing procedures. • Escorts patients to other services. (If applicable) Responsible for helping other clinics if there are employees on vacation. • Responsible for helping other colleagues when needed. • Covering night clinic when needed.
