About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and operationalization of Digital Hospital initiatives across KPJ hospitals, including smart ward technologies, patient monitoring systems, digital nursing workflows, hospital operational platforms, and command centre capabilities.
The role ensures the successful deployment, integration, and optimization of smart hospital technologies such as automated vital sign monitoring systems, AI-powered patient safety solutions, digital nurse call systems, bedside terminals, bed management platforms, and hospital operational dashboards. Working closely with hospital operations, clinical teams, IT teams, and technology vendors, the position coordinates multi-site implementations, system integrations, and operational adoption, ensuring digital hospital technologies enhance patient safety, improve operational efficiency, and support KPJ’s broader digital transformation agenda.
In addition, the role supports the project management and delivery of Digital Hospital programs, ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively across the KPJ hospital network.
JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Digital Hospital Implementation – Support the rollout and operationalisation of Digital Hospital initiatives across KPJ hospitals. 2. Digital Hospital Project Management – Lead and coordinate Digital Hospital implementation projects across multiple hospital sites. 3. Implementation Planning – Develop and manage implementation plans for digital hospital technologies. 4. Smart Ward Technology Deployment – Coordinate the implementation of smart ward technologies such as automated vital sign monitoring systems, AI-based fall detection solutions, bedside terminals, electronic paper systems, and digital nurse call platforms. 5. Hospital Systems Integration – Ensure seamless integration between digital hospital technologies and existing hospital systems such as HIS, nurse call systems, bed management platforms, and operational dashboards. 6. Multi-Site Deployment Coordination – Coordinate rollout of digital hospital technologies across multiple KPJ hospitals. 7. Operational Coordination with Hospitals – Work closely with hospital clinical and operational teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with workflows. 8. Vendor Coordination & Technology Deployment – Coordinate with technology vendors and internal IT teams for implementation and deployment. 9. Site Implementation & Go-Live Support – Support system configuration, UAT, training coordination, and go-live stabilisation. 10. Command Centre & Operational Data Enablement – Assist in enabling data feeds and operational dashboards supporting hospital command centre capabilities. 11. Technology Evaluation & Innovation – Support assessment of emerging digital hospital technologies. 12. Project Monitoring & Reporting – Monitor project progress, milestones, risks and report to management. 13. Risk & Issue Management – Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation actions. 14. Documentation & Process Standardisation – Maintain technical documentation and implementation standards. 15. Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise between hospital management, clinical teams, IT teams, and vendors. 16. System Monitoring & Continuous Improvement – Monitor system performance and identify optimisation opportunities. 17. Ad-hoc Responsibilities – Support additional digital hospital initiatives and pilot projects.
JOB REQUIREMENT Education: Degree in Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field.
Knowledge and Experiences:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare technology implementation, digital transformation projects, or system integration. • Experience with hospital operational systems, digital health platforms, or smart hospital technologies is preferred. • Experience coordinating technology deployments across multiple operational sites. • Exposure to vendor management and healthcare technology procurement processes. • Ability to translate technical solutions into operational impact for clinical teams. • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including clinical, operations and IT teams.
