Our VAT department is part of the Finance & Accounting – Tax team and is responsible for all matters related to VAT within the EMEA region. This includes not only Hitachi Europe but also other group companies within the scope of our Shared Services.
What you’ll be doing
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a new colleague to join us at our Warszawa, Poland office as of 1st September 2026.
The role will also be responsible for:
• Verification of VAT issues for Germany as well as various EU countries and some third countries, in particular cross-border issues
• Carrying out research and analyses of VAT-related issues
• Support and advice for our customers in all VAT matters
• Preparation of e.g. VAT returns, recapitulative statements and Intrastast declarations for various EU countries
• Communication with the tax authorities
• Verification of tax assessment notices
What you bring to the team
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a mixture of remote-hybrid work with days in the Hitachi Office
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:
• Completed training as assistant tax consultant
• At least 2 years practical experience in the field of finance/tax, ideally in the area of value added tax
• Good knowledge of English language
• Good SAP knowledge
• Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Committed and responsible
• Analytical skills and precise working methods
The position is a limited-term contract due to a colleague's maternity leave. It is scheduled from 1st September 2026 until approximately the end of December 2027.
