Essential Qualifications
Minimum
An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 Nursing degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent. Be registered on the relevant Nursing Division of the Register for Nurses maintained by NMBI or be eligible to be so registered. Three years relevant post graduate experience, i.e. 3 years relevant experience having gained the qualifications above.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
Desirable
Have recent clinical nursing experience in Mental Health / General Nursing disciplines. A post-graduate degree in a relevant specialist nursing area. Experience of lecturing at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in a 3rd level environment. Be registered on the Nurse Tutors Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI or be eligible to be so registered. Experience in the development of new programmes and curricular development. Excellent communication skills, organisational skills and interpersonal skills. Relevant teaching and research experience.
