About this role
**As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for:**
- Preparation and submission of income tax return, periodic VAT & intra-community returns as well as support for other taxes and tax audits
- Identification of potential tax risks and proposals of solutions - Contact person for the local tax authorities - Monitor updates on tax and accounting laws, followed by assessment of implications to the business, and share it to team - Filling of accounting and tax documents when necessory - Contact person for internal and external auditing - Support in the monthly closing process in compliance with the Group accounting standards and The German Commercial Code HGB as well as the preparation of management reports - Support in the preparation and filing of local financial statements - Selection of insurance products and suppliers in Germany - Overdue payment collection and Identification of risky customers - Document support for the bidding process in sales activities - Doing month-end inventory counting and asset verification in the Munich lab - Ad hoc duties including looking at a subsidiary entity in Netherlands and help with tax returns and communicating with Dutch tax office - Other tasks required by line managers when necessary.
**Your profile:**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and economics or equivalent degree through experience - You have 2-5 years practical experience in the field of taxes, preferably in the tax administration, a corporation or a tax consulting or auditing firm - Candidates holding a CPA or similar qualification are preferred - Experience working in an international organization will be an advantage but not essential - Strong communication skills, both spoken and written - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Visual Basic), working knowledge of accounting systems - Process-oriented and good knowledge of the company's end-to-end processes - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail, organization and accuracy - You approach problems in a structured way and always keep a calm head - Integrity and people-oriented - Team player - Very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another European language is an advantage - Written and spoken knowledge of Chinese will be an added advantage.
