The RoleAnyscale is looking for a Director-level HR Business Partner who can be both a strategic advisor and a hands-on operator. This is a player-coach opportunity—you’ll partner closely with our cross-functional leaders to design people strategies, while also rolling up your sleeves to execute programs, resolve issues, and help teams move faster.

What You’ll DoPartner with leaders across engineering, product, and go-to-market to align people strategy with business goals

Coach managers on leadership, performance, feedback, and team health.

Lead and execute core HR programs (performance reviews, compensation cycles, engagement surveys, DEI initiatives)

Tackle employee relations with empathy, pragmatism, and sound judgment

Use data and insights to drive decisions and proactively address trends

Collaborate across Recruiting, L&D, and People Ops to create a seamless employee experience

Champion Anyscale’s values and help embed them into everyday practices

Who You Are6+ years of total HR experience

4+ years as an HRBP

1+ years experience in HR operations

Experience in fast-paced tech or startup environments

Equally comfortable being strategic and hands-on—you don’t shy away from the details

Trusted coach and advisor to managers at all levels

Skilled at building relationships, influencing without authority, and earning trust quickly

Confident using data to tell a story and guide decisions

Energized by ambiguity and passionate about building systems that scale
