The Role
The College is seeking a Lecturer in Business and Management to contribute to teaching, assessment and academic support across BTEC HNC/HND and degree programmes, with opportunities to contribute to postgraduate delivery when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver teaching, assessment and examination duties across BTEC HNC/HND and undergraduate degree programmes Provide academic tutorials and support student engagement and progression Undertake assessment, feedback and related academic administration Liaise with Programme Leaders and Internal Verifiers to ensure assessment integrity Supervise individual and group student projects Participate in departmental meetings and external examiner processes
Person Specification
Essential:
Master’s degree in a relevant business-related discipline Experience of teaching in higher education or vocational higher education Strong digital teaching capability Knowledge of higher education quality assurance processes Excellent communication and organisational skills Willingness to work towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (if not already held)
Desirable:
PhD or equivalent professional or industry experience Research, scholarly or enterprise activity Recognised teaching qualification at Level 4 or Level 5 Experience teaching BTEC HNC/HND programmes
Applicants who do not currently hold a recognised teaching qualification will be required to enrol on and complete a College-approved teaching qualification within an agreed probationary period.
Staff contributing to postgraduate delivery will be expected to maintain appropriate scholarly, research or advanced professional engagement aligned to the level of provision.
