ATU wishes to recruit a Faculty Operations Manager to support the operation of the Faculty of Business, providing strategic and operational management support to the Dean and faculty academic management team.
The Faculty Operations Manager will report to the Dean of Faculty and will be a member of the faculty management team, working alongside the Heads of School and Heads of Department within the faculty. Under the direction of the Dean of Faculty, the Faculty Operations Manager will ensure operational efficiency and professional management support is provided to the academic leadership of the faculty.
This Senior Management position (Fixed term contract until 31 August 2030) requires a combination of significant organisational, leadership and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

A relevant post graduate qualification. Knowledge of the higher education system and administration within an academic environment, especially in a higher education institution, in Ireland or abroad. Experience in continuous improvement/ process improvement and project management. Experience managing or contributing to change in a complex operating environment. Evidence of leadership, encompassing aspects such as chairing of committees, project management, policy and programme development and academic compliance. Demonstrable experience in actively promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. An understanding of the complexities of the relationships between the university sector and industry with a track record of effective interaction between HE and industry. Experience of building and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, regionally and nationally. Experience of driving innovative initiatives across programme development, industry collaboration or internal process enhancement. Proven experience of managing financial and physical resources and analysing financial reports including profitability, resource utilisation and forecasting. Demonstrable line management experience in a large and complex organisation. Experience managing or contributing to change in a complex operating environment. Ability to face challenging situations and consensus build during times of change. Experience of developing and maintaining internal communications systems, managing external accreditation processes, Experience working across a multi-campus environment.
