About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nijhuis lab as a Research Assistant to support a research program on targeting RNA splicing in ovarian cancer. This is a 2-year post funded by the American Association of Cancer Research.

What you would be doing:

You will conduct translational research to investigate the intersection between RNA splicing, DNA damage repair and tumour immunology. It will be focussed on ovarian cancer and use various pre-clinical models, including animal models. The project will use a broad range of techniques to study the impact and therapeutic potential of RNA splicing inhibitors in ovarian cancer.

What we are looking for:

An enthusiastic and experienced (MSc qualified) molecular scientist that is capable of working independently and supervise (post) graduate students Experience with a broad range of wet-lab skills (including detection of RNA splicing events and immune-related assays). Prepared to conduct animal studies in mice

Further Information

This is a full time, fixed term role until 31/08/27 with possible extension.
