Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all MEP construction activities from mobilization through project completion. • Review design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify potential construction issues. • Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth project execution and eliminate interface conflicts. • Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays. • Review subcontractor work programs, manpower deployment, and resource planning to ensure timely project delivery. • Manage and supervise MEP subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company standards. • Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and compliance with approved methods and safety requirements. • Ensure all MEP works comply with applicable Dubai authority regulations, approval requirements, inspections, and testing procedures. • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities with consultants, authorities, and clients. • Review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation to support project execution. • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting project status, risks, and mitigation plans. • Identify technical and commercial risks and work proactively with project stakeholders to resolve issues. • Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance, quality control, health, safety, and environmental requirements. • Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or performance. • Assist in project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, snagging, and final handover.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. • Minimum 8–12 years of MEP construction experience, with at least 5 years managing large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments in the UAE. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV, and building services systems. • Thorough understanding of Dubai authority requirements, testing and commissioning procedures, and statutory approvals. • Experience managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and project management software. • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • Strong project planning and execution capabilities. • Technical expertise in building services engineering. • Stakeholder and subcontractor coordination. • Quality-focused with strong attention to detail. • Commercial awareness and cost control. • Risk assessment and mitigation. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
