Summary
The Graduate Assistant supports the Health Promotion and Wellness Office in planning, promoting, and executing wellness programs and events across campus. Responsibilities include overseeing work-study students, coordinating wellness activities, maintaining wellness program records, and collaborating on campus-wide initiatives. The position also assists in promoting a culture of well-being through student engagement, education, and participation.
Essential Functions
• Plan and coordinate wellness programs and events, including Well-Being Fair and Men’s Health Barbershop.
• Supervise and schedule student workers, monitor work progress, and act as a point of contact.
• Promote awareness of wellness events through social media and campus outreach.
• Monitor daily activities in the HPW Office and enforce policies to ensure safety and engagement.
• Maintain and organize registration paperwork and monitor participation in programs.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of equipment in Miller Studio for ISR courses.
• Collaborate with Mission and Student Engagement and other departments on special events.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and student engagement sessions.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in any field of study.
• Must have 1-3 years of experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20
