JOB DESCRIPTION As a Mechanical Engineer, you will perform the following duties: - Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, and air distribution layouts. - Design plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and special systems. - Design firefighting systems including sprinkler systems, hose reels, fire pumps, and clean agent systems. - Prepare detailed engineering drawings using BIM tools (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD). - Perform design calculations (cooling/heating loads, pump head, pipe sizing, ventilation rates, etc.). - Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, SBC codes). - Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to avoid clashes. - Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. - Support project team during authority submissions and approvals. - Provide technical support during construction and respond to site queries (RFIs). - Conduct value engineering and optimize system design for cost and efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. - 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting design. - Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office. - Knowledge of design software (HAP, Elite, or similar) is preferred. - Strong understanding of international codes and standards. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
