Hours: 22.5 hours per week, term time + INSET
Working pattern: 8.30am - 1pm, Monday - Friday
Contract type: Fixed term until 31/08/2027
About the role
We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Education Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring every pupil, regardless of need, has access to a full and enriching school experience. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning activities that support literacy, numeracy and the wider curriculum, helping students achieve their personal academic success.
You’ll take the lead on delivering pre-planned sessions to small groups, support students with EHCPs and give feedback to teachers based strategies to meet individual needs. Whether it’s contributing to curriculum planning, using ICT to boost independence, or supporting students during break times and school trips, your work will be central to our mission of providing a great education for every child.

Has experience supporting pupils with individual needs, particularly those with EHCPsCan work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing needsIs confident delivering pre-planned lessons to small groupsBuilds strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and familiesIs a role model for professionalism, positivity, and careCommunicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleHas a good general education (GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent)Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification—or is willing to work towards itIf you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a school that values every child and every colleague, we’d love to hear from you!
