Support Worker – Respite Service (Learning Disabilities) Location: Stratford-upon-Avon Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week Contract: Permanent Salary: £12.88 per hour Join Heart of England Mencap and help people with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives where they can thrive and reach their full potential. We're looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our Respite Service team in Stratford-upon-Avon. Our respite home provides a welcoming, home-from-home environment where customers can build confidence, develop independence and enjoy new experiences in a safe and supportive setting. About the Role Working as part of a friendly and experienced team, you will support customers with all aspects of daily living while promoting independence, choice and wellbeing. Responsibilities may include: Supporting customers with meal preparationEncouraging and promoting independence with daily living tasksAssisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and groomingAdministering medicationProviding positive behaviour supportWelcoming customers into the service and supporting check-in and check-out processes Shift Patterns This service operates a range of shifts across the week & weekends. 8:00am–3:00pm3:00pm–10:00pmSleep in shifts also available at rate of £70.47 per shift About You Previous care experience is preferredA caring, positive and reliable approachA willingness to learn and developFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends Full training is provided because great care comes from the HEART.
