About this role
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen and secure a complex ICT infrastructure. The consultant will support cybersecurity operations, threat monitoring, vulnerability management, penetration testing, security governance, and continuous improvement of the organization's security posture. Cybersecurity Operations: · Support the security of data, infrastructure, and application environments. · Monitor security events and investigate potential threats. · Perform OSINT and dark web monitoring activities. · Support SIEM-based security monitoring and incident detection. Security Assessment & Governance · Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. · Analyse, optimize, and document security processes and governance. · Prepare technical security and risk assessments. · Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls. Security Frameworks & Compliance · Apply information security principles and industry best practices. · Support implementation of security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, OWASP, and CIS Controls. · Assist with security documentation and compliance activities. · Support security governance initiatives across the organization. Collaboration & Infrastructure Security · Work with internal IT teams and external suppliers. · Support secure infrastructure operations and technical implementations. · Document configurations, procedures, and security changes. · Contribute to the continuous improvement of the ICT security environment. Required Skills & Expertise Must Have · Minimum 1 year of experience as a Security Consultant within data, infrastructure, or application environments. · Knowledge of IT security principles. · Experience with OSINT and dark web investigations/monitoring. · Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. · Experience analysing, optimizing, and documenting security processes and governance. · Knowledge of Information Security. · Experience with SIEM solutions and threat monitoring. · Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 level. Should Have · Experience with security frameworks including ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, OWASP, and CIS Controls. · Experience preparing technical security and risk assessments. · Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH. · Experience with Red Teaming.
