Industrial Automation Engineer I – Warehouse Operations
At Axcelis, you’ll help drive operational excellence through automation and digital transformation in a high‑technology manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with warehouse operations, manufacturing engineering, and technology teams to improve efficiency, accuracy, and system integration. This role provides hands‑on experience supporting real business processes while contributing to meaningful improvements in material flow and inventory management. It’s a great opportunity for an early‑career engineer to build technical and operational skills in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do
• Support day‑to‑day warehouse and stockroom operations, including receiving, inventory control, material movement, kitting, and shipping • Help ensure alignment between physical processes and system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation • Assist in implementing and supporting digital tools such as barcode systems, data capture applications, and dashboards • Provide support for warehouse applications, including basic troubleshooting and user assistance • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by executing test cases, documenting issues, and validating system updates • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency and workflow improvements
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or co‑op experience encouraged) • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to ERP, MES, or warehouse management systems • Familiarity with data tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI • Interest in automation, digital tools, or application support • Understanding of basic process improvement concepts

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$66,691.37 - $100,037.06 This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular employees working 20+ hours a week).
