We’re expanding our Aviva Services Excellence Centre (ASEC) - an international, highly collaborative team delivering actuarial systems used by Aviva business units worldwide. About the role This role is designed for experienced actuarial/data professionals who want to deepen their technical expertise while building leadership capabilities over time. You’ll have the opportunity to shape solutions, influence design decisions, and gradually take on more ownership - including mentoring others and stepping into a future Team Lead position.

What you’ll be doing
• Develop, enhance, and maintain analytical and actuarial tools using Snowflake, Python, and SQL
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable code in line with internal best practices
• Perform actuarial experience analyses for life insurance products and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
• Take ownership of analyses and development work within a defined business or technical domain
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and document design decisions
• Act as a senior point of contact within the team, supporting knowledge sharing and collaboration
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and standards
What we’re looking for
• ~7+ years of experience in actuarial, analytical, or data-focused roles
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL and/or Snowflake (experience across multiple tools is a plus)
• Solid understanding of statistics and/or actuarial mathematics
• Experience in life insurance analytics or actuarial work
• Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Strong problem-solving mindset and structured approach to analysis
• Experience working in a project-based environment, including prioritisation and ownership
• Very good command of English (spoken and written)
• Actuarial exams (completed or in progress) are a strong advantage
• Experience supporting or mentoring others - or a clear motivation to grow in this direction
