Position Highlights Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization • Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period • Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care • Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients
Requirements:
• IA RN license • BLS, and ACLS are required - In-house education available • Must have or acquire in the first year ACLS, BLS, and CPI training - In-house education available • Two years of nursing experience required
Schedule:
• 60 hours per pay period (Full-time benefit eligible) • 12 hour day/night rotating shifts • Weekend and holiday rotation • The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
