Job Description Summary: This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds.Job Description:

• Work with day-old chicks • Will be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations • Must be able to work with live animals and the associated environment • Collect blood samples, band/tag, or remove tags from birds • Must follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and procedures • Ability to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfectants, etc. • Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained • Must be able to be around farm-related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment • May work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks • Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs • Bend and stoop throughout the shift • Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
