Unique Antwerp Maritime is looking for a Crew Planner. You will be working for one of our clients, one of the largest offshore pipeline installation and subsea construction companies, located in Essen. In this role, you will take full responsibility for crew planning within your assigned disciplines. You ensure everything runs smoothly — from long-term workforce planning to last-minute solutions. Your responsibilities include: Creating and managing crew schedules for personnel on board our vessels Acting as the point of contact for superintendents, captains, and shore-based colleagues Collaborating closely with HR, Operations, and the crew members themselves Taking into account experience, certifications, and project requirements Identifying shortages or surpluses in staffing and contributing to solutions Ensuring a fair distribution of experience and opportunities within teams Discussing career growth and development opportunities for crew members together with HR In short: you maintain oversight in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. What matters to us? Your curiosity, drive, and enjoyment of what you do. It’s a big plus if you also bring: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as crew planning or transport planning The ability to stay calm and maintain an overview, even when everything happens at once Clear and friendly communication skills, with a good sense of humor The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility, always with respect and situational awareness Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus A willingness to travel occasionally, for example to vessels or our office in Delft
