About this role
We’re partnering with an established SaaS organization seeking a hands-on Manager, Advanced Research to modernize its applied AI/ML strategy and lead a highly technical team driving product innovation through large language models (LLMs) and modern ML practices.
In this role, you’ll oversee a talented group of AI/ML engineers and researchers, guiding the organization’s shift from legacy systems to scalable, production-grade machine learning. You’ll own the full ML lifecycle - from data strategy to deployment - and collaborate with senior product and engineering leaders to ensure AI initiatives directly advance business goals.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML practitioners, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
Design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
Oversee data collection, preparation, and model evaluation to ensure quality and performance.
Integrate LLMs and emerging AI methods into core product capabilities.
Align AI/ML work with product strategy and communicate results effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Drive the transition to modern ML infrastructure and scalable tooling.
Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
5+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience applying LLMs or similar AI technologies to practical applications.
Strong understanding of model development, optimization, and deployment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
