In this critical role, you’ll coordinate and implement electrical maintenance plans across a large regional footprint, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our plant and equipment.<br>This role offers a unique opportunity to work across Regional Queensland, with frequent travel required to deliver scheduled maintenance and support site teams across the region.<br> <br><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong><br>• Develop and implement effective maintenance plans for electrical plant and equipment.<br>• Coordinate scheduling of works and resource allocation to meet operational timeframes.<br>• Ensure maintenance services support plant reliability, safety and operational continuity.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to meet performance outcomes.<br>• Monitor and adjust maintenance schedules in response to changing priorities and asset condition.<br>• Complete low voltage and extra low voltage electrical inspections and preventive maintenance on plant as required.<br>• Attend to break downs and complete corrective maintenance as required.<br> </p> <p><strong>Hours and Salary</strong><br>• The starting base salary is $114,466 plus 12.75% superannuation. With the current roster and applicable penalties, you can expect to earn $120K+ per year.<br>• This role offers a varied work schedule, including a mix of 5-day weeks, 4-day weeks, or 9-day work blocks—depending on machinery availability, workload, and location.<br>• You will be expected to complete an extensive level of travel<br>• Your home station will be Toowoomba, servicing sites across Regional Queensland.<br> <br> <br><strong>About you</strong><br>• Must have an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Trade Certificate<br>• Must have strong safety focus<br>• Must hold a current manual drivers’ licence<br>• Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland<br>• Skilled in planning, scheduling, and resource management for plant maintenance operations, with a focus on achieving reliability and operational targets.<br>• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance standards and processes, with the ability to analyse issues, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.<br> <br>For further information please click here to view the <a title="" href="https://queenslandrail.com.au/about%20us/Careers/recruitment/Position%20Description%20Documents/Natasha/64602.pdf" target="_self">position Description </a><br> <br><strong>Benefits that Count </strong><br>All that Queensland Rail achieves each day relies on the hard work and talent of our teams.
