<p>We are looking for a Butchery Manager to join our team. We are located in beautiful Queenstown at 1/12 Hawthorne Drive, Remarkables Park, Queenstown, 9300. Pay rate range for this position is $35.00-$38.50 hour. This is a permanent role that is 45 hours per week. The role is Tuesday-Saturday 5am-2.30pm. This roles relates to ANZSCO 322231 Butcher or Smallgoods Maker code. The role consists of ¾ Butchering and ¼ managerial tasks. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>To apply you must have:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>-Butcher Qualification level 4</p> <p>-Must be skilled to Butcher Beef, Pork and Lamb</p> <p>-Must be skilled to process Chicken</p> <p>-Must be Skilled to make small goods ie sausages, schnitzel, mignons, roasts etc</p> <p>-Good communication skills</p> <p>-Willingness to learn</p> <p>-Work well in a team</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the role - key tasks, duties and responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Selects and inspects meat to ensure quality and freshness</li> <li>Cuts, trims and prepares meat according to customer requirements</li> <li>Operates meat processing machines such as slicers, grinders, tenderisers and bandsaw</li> <li>Weighs, labels and packages meat products for sale or supply</li> <li>Maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards in meat preparation and display areas</li> <li>Manages inventory and order meat supplies as needed</li> <li>Creates and maintains attractive displays of meat products</li> <li>Assists customers to select and purchase meat products</li> <li>Prepares and produces smallgoods such as sausages and mignons</li> <li>Monitors the smallgoods production process to ensure quality, hygiene and efficiency</li> <li>Advises staff of the daily cutting/priority list</li> <li>Managers staff in the butchery team</li> <li>Communicates to owners about any comments or concerns regarding the butchery department</li> <li>Sets specials and promotions for the butchery department</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>If you are interested in a role with us please email your CV, Passport or NZ Birth Certificate and Visa (if applicable) to [email protected] to apply</p>
