Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Content Curator, based in India, to join our content operations team, with a focus on curating and editing Indian content for our news and personalized feeds. This role maintains rigorous standards of accuracy, relevance, and quality for all published content.

Responsibilities

Monitor and curate content pipeline across Discover India’s feeds to maintain continuous freshness and relevance

Ensure content on Discover is always substantive, verified, and valuable to readers​ and Perplexity users

Own fact-checking, editorial review, headline/image generation, and overall quality assurance checks on both mobile and web; leverage AI tools to scale up and systemize these processes

Proactively identify gaps in Discover India’s coverage and create timely content that addresses important, underrepresented, or emerging topics

Communicate proactively with Discover leadership to improve and expand content pipelines

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field

3-5 years of experience in content editing, news editing, or digital journalism

Strong knowledge of Indian news market, major and niche publications, and regional context

Excellent editorial judgment with ability to distinguish between breaking, trending, and general news

Command of English language with strong grammar, spelling, and syntax skills

Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial excellence

Proficiency with content management systems (CMS)

Ability to work independently while also collaborating with distributed team
