It is an opportunity to work on a large-scale international data platform (Rainbow).</p> <p>You will collaborate with colleagues in the Data Integration team to design and implement scalable, high-quality data modeling solutions. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring that data structures support both operational and regulatory reporting needs.</p> <p>To succeed in this role, you should have strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and be a clear, effective communicator able to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Analyze and translate business requirements into long-term data models (primarily physical models)</li> <li>Design structured and performant data models aligned with business needs</li> <li>Apply best practices (e.g., star schema, facts & dimensions, normalization where appropriate)</li> <li>Follow and help refine Rainbow data modeling methodology to ensure consistency</li> <li>Challenge and clarify business requirements to ensure optimal data solutions</li> <li>Prepare and evaluate proposals for changes and improvements</li> <li>Ensure proper documentation and handover of delivered solutions</li> <li>Act as a bridge between business and technical teams</li> <li>Work closely with analysts, developers, and stakeholders</li> <li>Clearly communicate complex data concepts and solutions</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>Your Profile</em></p> <p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Proven experience with physical and relational data modeling</li> <li>Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, normalization)</li> <li>Solid SQL skills and experience with large datasets</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities</li> <li>General understanding of information systems and data processing</li> <li>At least intermediate level of English (written and spoken)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience in banking, finance, or controlling (2–3 years preferred)</li> <li>Knowledge of regulatory reporting (e.g., FINREP, COREP, GCRD)</li> <li>Familiarity with metadata management and data governance</li> <li>Experience working in cross-functional teams</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>3 things you’ll love about KBC Global Services: </strong><br>#1 Work-life balance for real.
