Job Description: 1.Monitor turnaround times and communicat delays or issues to OR Leadership. 2.Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. 3.Demonstrate knowledge of proper mix and use of cleaning chemicals. 4.Demonstrates knowledge and effective use of cleaners and proper application of refinish materials. 5.Removes trash and linen as required by departmental schedules. 6.Check and maintains equipment for cleanliness and safety. 7.Establishes and maintains good patient relations and reports patient requests to nursing personnel. 8.Keeps storage/janitor closets clean and orderly, including the soiled utility. 9.Demonstrate proper use of wall washing equipment. 10.Observes and reports the need for maintenance repairs. 11.Demonstrates knowledge and effective use of spot cleaners and methods to obtain desired results on surface involved. 12.Demonstrates knowledge of proper cleaning of operating room between room turn overs. 13.Demonstrates knowledge of proper terminal cleaning of operating rooms at the end of the day and for required post exposure cases. 14.Checks and maintains an adequate amount of stock for room turnover and cleaning supplies. 15.Checks and maintains an adequate amount of scrub brushes, soap, hand rub and mask at each scrub sink. 16.Performs weekly eyewash station inspections throughout surgical services. 17.Performs other duties as assigned. 18.Assist with setting up rooms for surgeries. Brings in required equipment and beds. 19.Transports patients; confirms patient ID using two forms of patient identification. 20.Performs cleaning of all call apartments weekly and prn, as assigned.
