We're looking for a dedicated Prison Link Worker to join our Dependency and Recovery Service, helping men transition successfully from custody into the community. This is a rewarding frontline role where you'll make a real difference by improving engagement with treatment, reducing reoffending, and supporting recovery journeys.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting individuals before release, through the gate, and into the communityBuilding strong relationships with prison substance misuse teams and partner agenciesProviding enhanced support to individuals at risk of disengaging from servicesAccompanying clients to key appointments including probation and substance misuse servicesIdentifying and managing risks around release, including treatment drop-out and overdose preventionCompleting assessments, action plans, and maintaining accurate case recordsMotivating and empowering people to engage with statutory and voluntary support services About You
You'll be confident working independently within prison settings while managing a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and individuals on community orders. You'll have excellent relationship-building skills, a person-centred approach, and a passion for supporting recovery and rehabilitation.
