About this role

As an Industrial Sales Engineer at Hilti, you will drive the adoption, integration, and long-term scaling of advanced technical solutions across manufacturing and production environments.

Operating at the intersection of engineering and commercial delivery, you will work directly within customer production environments to solve complex operational challenges, optimise workflows, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity, safety, and quality. This is a role defined by ownership, technical credibility, and execution—you will not just identify opportunities, but see them through to full implementation, adoption, and performance impact.

You will engage multi-level stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and leadership teams, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor while translating technical capability into tangible business outcomes. Success comes from your ability to combine hands-on technical expertise with commercial instinct and deliver real change on-site.

What You'll do

Drive growth by identifying, shaping, and delivering high-value solution opportunities, owning outcomes while partnering closely with sales teams across industrial customersAssess customer production environments and workflows to uncover inefficiencies, constraints, and improvement opportunitiesLead technical engagements with multi-level stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production to define and position the right solutionsTake full ownership of implementation, including on-site setup, testing, optimisation, and technical support to ensure solutions perform in real conditionsAct as the technical interface between customer teams and Hilti’s internal functions, aligning engineering requirements with commercial deliveryEmbed solutions into customer operations, driving change management, system integration, and long-term adoptionEnable the wider sales team, building their capability to identify and progress technical solution opportunities

What You’ll Bring Desirable

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) Essential

Demonstrable experience in Manufacturing or Production specifically with production lines, including related applicationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWillingness to travel nationally for customer visits and solution implementationResilience and problem-solving mindset, overcoming challenges with a passion for continuous learning and long-term commitmentFull, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
