About this role
As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will join our Coventry team to support our activities within the Automotive sector.
You will play a key role in the testing and validation of advanced electrical and battery systems within a high-performance engineering environment. Working across development and validation activities, you will support the delivery of electrified powertrain technologies through hands-on testing, fault investigation, and data analysis

Support the testing and validation of electrical and battery systemsDevelop and execute test procedures and validation activitiesMonitor, analyse, and interpret test data, identifying faults and trendsSupport battery fault-finding and root cause investigationsCoordinate testing activities with engineering and operational teamsProduce technical reports and test documentationSupport the integration and commissioning of test equipment and instrumentationEnsure testing activities are completed in line with quality and safety standards Required Skills:
Experience in electrical test engineering within automotive or electrification environmentsKnowledge of battery systems, EV powertrains, or electrical propulsion systemsExperience conducting testing, validation, and fault-finding activitiesAbility to analyse and interpret technical and performance dataUnderstanding of instrumentation and test equipmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Experience within automotive, EV, or electrification programmesExposure to high-voltage or safety-critical systemsDesirable Skills:
Experience with tools such as CANalyzer, MATLAB, AVL Concerto, or JIRAFamiliarity with battery validation or powertrain test facilitiesUnderstanding of DFMEA, 8D, or structured problem-solving methodologiesExperience supporting electric drive unit (EDU) or battery testing programmes Why join us?
