We are looking for an experienced and business-minded Finance Manager to join our expanding management team, who will support the hotel’s successful operation as a strategic partner and play an active role in the development of financial and economic processes.
Key responsibilities
Comprehensive management of the hotel’s economic, financial, accounting and controlling processesPreparing and monitoring annual budgets, business plans and procurement plansPreparing, analysing and reporting on monthly financial forecastsPreparing plan-versus-actual analyses and reports, and providing regular updates to managementCash flow planning and managementMonitoring budget utilisation and developing cost-efficiency measuresCompiling monthly, quarterly and annual financial and controlling reportsPreparing cost and margin calculations, compiling analyses to support decision-makingPreparing financial analyses, management reports and decision-support materialsProviding technical support for monthly, quarterly and annual closing processesDeveloping controlling reports and meeting new business reporting requirementsProviding professional coordination of procurement procedures, tenders and contractsDrafting and updating economic and financial regulations, and monitoring their implementationContinuously monitoring changes in legislation and coordinating the necessary data submissions and statistical reportsLiaising with external service providers responsible for accounting and payrollDeveloping and operating inventory management processesOrganising and coordinating stock-taking and disposal processesActively participating in audit processesSupporting the hotel management in preparing financial and business decisions Requirements
A higher education qualification in economicsAt least 3–5 years’ relevant professional and managerial experience in finance, accounting or controllingConfident knowledge of accounting and controllingBusiness fluency in English and conversational-level proficiency in HungarianStrong proficiency in MS Office, with excellent Excel skillsKnowledge of Hungarian accounting rulesExperience in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and knowledge of Oracle OPERA PMS, Simphony and Inventory Management would be an advantageExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBusiness acumen and strategic thinkingPrecise, independent and responsible approach to workExcellent communication and collaboration skillsThe following would be an advantage
Experience gained in the hotel, tourism or service sectorsExperience gained in an international corporate environmentExperience in a controlling or financial management role What we offer
