About this role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one or more teams building scalable data and AI-driven platforms in the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) domain.
You will blend technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people management, with a focus on building resilient, cloud-native systems and driving innovation through AI and automation.
You bring 8+ years of experience in distributed systems, data engineering, and modern software delivery, along with experience building and mentoring teams.
Responsibilities 1. Delivery & Execution
Manage delivery of complex, multi-quarter engineering programsImprove predictable execution using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)Ensure, on-time delivery in consideration of our prioritiesManage dependencies across teams, platforms, and partnersTrack and improve important engineering metrics (velocity, quality, reliability)2. Technical Leadership
Architect and oversee scalable, secure, cloud-native systems (AWS preferred)Guide teams on best practices in:Microservices architectureData pipelines (batch and streaming)API design and integrationEvent-driven systemsChampion engineering excellence:Code quality, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelinesObservability and productionImprove adoption of AI/GenAI solutions to improve engineering efficiency and product capabilities3. Data & AI Engineering (Preferred)
Lead development of large-scale data platforms using tools like Spark, Glue, and data lakesEnable real-time and batch data processing pipelinesCollaborate with data scientists to productionize ML modelsEnsure governance, security, and compliance (especially in regulated domains like KYC/KYB, AML)4. People Leadership
Build, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teamsConduct hiring, onboarding, and performance managementFoster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvementProvide regular feedback and career development guidancePromote diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety within teams5. Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholdersTranslate business requirements into technical deliverablesProvide clear status updates and executive-level communicationManage risks, escalations, and trade-off decisions effectively6. Operational Excellence
Ensure production stability, uptime, and incident managementDrive root cause analysis and continuous improvementOptimize cost and performance of cloud infrastructureEstablish robust support and runbooks for operational teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field10–14 years of software engineering experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership roleProven track record of delivering large-scale distributed systemsStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)Hands-on experience in Java/Python/Scala or similarDeep understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile practicesPreferred Qualifications
