Job Purpose
To support the use of ICT within the school environment through maintenance of ICT software, hardware andrelated equipment, and providing support to staff and pupils to ensure administration and learning outcomesare maximised.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Be responsible for the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and softwareMaintain a comprehensive database of all support requests and allocate jobs to appropriate staffEnsure dedicated ICT areas are ready for use each day and that they are in good working order atthe end of each dayCheck hardware regularly, repairing simple faults or reporting more complicated faults to aspecialist technician / audio-visual service / contractor as appropriateSupport teaching staff / pupils in technical aspects of ICTMaintain computer files by backing up / archiving and updating/deleting information as appropriateMaintain and develop networkSupport adherence to ICT policies, including those relating to safeguarding and internet usage andreport any concernsResolve hardware / software technical issuesProvides basic ICT trainingCarry out desk-top publishing proceduresProvide bespoke ICT training for staff and pupilsCheck and maintain stocks of ICT equipmentEnsure compliance with all current DPA LegislationBe responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within theacademy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures.Our Offer To You
