About this role
The Headteacher and Trustees of Worth Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated part-time Primary Teaching Assistant who has high expectations for all pupils to join our hardworking and friendly team.
The appointment is temporary because the role is linked to external funding. Employment will continue until the said child leaves the school or for any other reason no longer requires your support, or when the funding linked to the child no longer exists, when it will expire with notice.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of working with SEN children with challenging behaviours.Experience of working in a primary schoolExperience of working with Key Stage 1 childrenA good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and SEN documentationAbility to build strong relationships with children and motivate them to learnAbility to respond calmly and constructively when dealing with students with SENAbility to manage time effectivelyAbility to seek advice and assistance to meet a pupil’s needsAbility to provide engaging 1:1 supportAbility to use a range of strategies for learning and behaviourAbility to work flexibly with members of a teamAbility to learn and use a range of strategies to deal with classroom and individual behaviourA willingness to engage in professional development opportunities
