Working Hours - 8.30am - 3.45pm 4 days a week, and 1 day 8.30am - 4.25pm including a 15 minute morning break and 30 minute lunch break
Alexandra Park is a fully inclusive two-form entry primary school with 463 pupils on roll. We have a dedicated staff and an excellent reputation in our local area. We are all working hard to continue to develop our thriving community school.
The Headteacher, Governors and children at Alexandra Park Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our successful and friendly school.
We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants looking to progress in their careers in a rich learning environment where their professional development will be prioritised. We also welcome applications from people looking to start a career in education, who are enthusiastic and have a passion for supporting children though providing them with the highest possible standards of care and academic support. Our School Deputy Head and Assistant Head both started their careers in education as Teaching Assistants. As the role initially is supporting in Year 4, the successful candidate would need to be confident support in all areas of the curriculum, with strong numeracy and English skills. The successful candidate would receive full support and training so they would become an expert in supporting children in class and delivering targeted interventions. This could be social and emotional support or academic support depending on the individual strengths and passions of the successful candidate. Alexandra Park Primary School is a Research School for Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and is part of a national network of 16 primary schools that lead education research and deliver training for the EEF on key aspects of education, such as metacogntion, Early Literacy, supporting disadvantaged pupils and Developing Teaching Assistants. Our commitment to our children and staff was recognised by OFSTED, where we were awarded an Outstanding grade in all areas.
