About this role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team and support children at the very start of their school journey.
33.5 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week
This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where our youngest learners can grow in confidence, curiosity and independence. You will support children across all areas of learning, helping to develop their communication, social skills and early understanding through play-based and structured activities.
Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team, you will help deliver high-quality provision that supports every child to thrive, particularly those with additional needs. Your role will be central in ensuring children feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

Has experience working with young children, ideally within an EYFS or nursery settingUnderstands the importance of early communication, language and social developmentIs confident supporting play-based learning and engaging children in purposeful activitiesBuilds warm, positive relationships that support children’s confidence and wellbeingIs patient, nurturing and responsive to individual needsWorks well as part of a team and is committed to inclusive practiceIs proactive, flexible and enthusiastic about supporting early developmentYour Key Responsibilities
Support children in accessing high-quality early years provision through play and structured activitiesWork closely with the class teacher to support learning, development and wellbeingPromote communication, language development and positive social interactionSupport children’s independence, confidence and self-care skillsProvide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including those with additional needsObserve children’s learning and contribute to ongoing assessment and planningHelp create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
