Location: Warren Primary Academy, Bewcastle Road, Nottingham, NG5 9PJ
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (1 year, with potential to extend) / Term-time only / Part-time
Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
About the RoleWe are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable After School Provision Assistant to support our wraparound care provision. You will play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can relax, play and continue their development at the end of the school day.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day running of the after school provision as part of a teamHelp to plan, prepare and deliver high-quality play opportunities that meet children’s developmental needsProvide a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can play freelySupervise and engage with children to promote positive behaviour and wellbeingBuild positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleaguesShare relevant information about children’s wellbeing or behaviour with appropriate staffAssist in preparing healthy snacks and maintaining a clean and organised environmentFollow safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and behaviour policies at all timesSupport children’s emotional wellbeing and, where appropriate, personal care or medical needsContribute ideas to improve the provision and attend training when required

Has experience working with childrenHas good communication and interpersonal skillsIs able to work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiativeCan plan and support engaging activities for childrenIs organised and able to prioritise tasksUnderstands the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding and child protectionDemonstrates a positive attitude towards training and personal developmentIs committed to equality, inclusion and supporting all children to thrive
Additional InformationFirst Aid training (or willingness to complete) is requiredThis post is subject to an enhanced DBS checkThe role includes working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
