About this role

Saxon Hill Academy are seeking to appoint a positive, and caring Ancillary Assistant with experience in personal care within a care or support setting.

We are particularly looking for individuals who have worked in the caring sector and have practical experience supporting children or individuals with additional needs.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care, including toileting and changing Supporting pupils with feeding Offering general classroom support to teachers and assisting in the care and management of pupils Full training will be provided, however, applicants should have relevant experience in personal care and a genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs.

Actual Salary: £18,609 - £18,900 – Pay Award Pending

Working hours: 32.5 hrs per week Mon - Fri 8:45am – 3:45pm

Term time only plus 5 inset days, working 39 weeks

Contract type: FTC until 31st August 2027 (initially)

Start date: 1st September 2026
