About this role

About the Role

You will contribute to the delivery of teaching activities in the subject area of War and Security. This may include contributing to the School’s new MA in War Studies, as well as teaching on undergraduate modules on War and Security, or International Relations more broadly. You will also supervise dissertations, act as a student adviser, and mark assessments. The post is replacement teaching for a Leverhulme Fellow in the Academic Year 26/7 and subject to The Leverhulme Trust approving your appointment.

About You

You will have a PhD in International Relations, Politics, History or equivalent with expertise in War and Security. You will have teaching experience and commitment to high quality teaching in Higher Education (HE).

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Department of Sociology, Politics and IR is located in the interdisciplinary School of Society and Environment in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science. The Department was ranked 7th overall among UK higher education institutions in the 2022 REF. The Department has a highly diverse cohort of students and offers a broad-ranging and methodologically plural curriculum.
