Job summary
Park Medical Centre are recruiting a GP to cover 4 sessions per week. A full BMA contract will be offered.
This is a fixed-term role until 31 March 2027, as it is currently funded by the Practice GP Reimbursement Scheme. However, if the funding becomes guaranteed we would be willing to make this a permanent contract.
Main duties of the job
The role involves providing general medical services to patients during normal working hours (currently Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:30).
We offer flexibility regarding session days, as well as start and finish times.
About us
Park Medical Centre has 11500 patients and is part of the Leek and Biddulph PCN. We are a training practice and have close links with Keele School of Medicine in both a training and research aspect.
We are innovative and forward thinking and our multi skilled team work together to deliver exceptional care. We had a CQC inspection in March 2026 and achieved a solid 'Good' rating in all areas.
There are a number of PCN roles which also support the practice (additional clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technicians, Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physios, Social Prescribers, Occupational Therapists and Care Co-Ordinators).

Provide GP appointments, including a small number of home visits Undertake associated administrative duties (e.g. results, prescriptions) within contracted hours You will not be expected to undertake more or fewer duties than our current GPs. The role consists of 4 sessions per week, typically spread over 2 days.
There may also be opportunities to contribute to additional roles within the practice. Any such responsibilities will fall within normal working hours.
There is no requirement for on-call or out-of-hours work (outside of 08:0018:30).
