We are excited to invite applications for motivated, driven and dynamic Occupational Therapists to join our Neurological rehabilitation teams in a Band 6 position.
We are looking for someone with significant post registration experience, including experience in the neurological rehabilitation setting, who works well within a multidisciplinary team and is committed to ongoing personal and professional development

Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a supportive, forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality rehabilitation.
You could work in inpatient settings at Bradford Royal Infirmary (covering acute stroke and stroke/neurology rehabilitation wards) and in the community as part of our Neurological Rehabilitation Team or the Community Stroke Therapy Team (including outpatient clinics, gyms, and patients' homes). Static and rotational specialist Stroke and Neuro positions will be considered.
There may be a requirement for the post holder to work flexibly in other areas as required, including different hospital sites and community settings including domiciliary visits. The post may involve working across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Substantial post-graduate experience, including recent experience in an NHS setting. Relevant and recent experience working in rehabilitation across a range of clinical areas Previous clinical experience in neurology and / or stroke rehabilitation Experience of multidisciplinary team working and working collaboratively with other professions and agencies Experience of managing a caseload and discharge planning Experience of developing or contributing to service improvement projects Car driver, with access to vehicle with business insurance for work
Desirable
Experience working with and assessing adults with complex needs in community and in patient setting Experience of supervision / mentoring of junior OT's, students and support staff
Skills Essential
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team Competent IT skills Evidence of current, relevant CPD and external learning Competent in core areas of Occupational Therapy practice Knowledge of clinical standards and ability to implement and audit these in the team Strong clinical reasoning skills Excellent organisational skills. Skilled in planning, prioritising workload and time management to meet targets and patients needs. Ability to perform the manual handling requirements of the role. Working in line with trust policy.
Desirable
Experience of training or teaching other staff.
Knowledge Essential
Specialist knowledge of current evidence based best practice in the field of Stroke and Neurological rehabilitation. Understanding and knowledge of relevant national guideline, standards and NHS documents such as the NHS Long-term Plan. Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
Qualifications Essential
Degree in Occupational Therapy Studies HCPC Registered Clinical Educators course
Desirable
Post registration qualification in relevant subject/attendance on relevant postgraduate courses Leadership or management development qualification / courses
