Job summary
To provide a high quality booking and administration service for radiology.
To book appointments for all radiology modalities in line with internal guidelines and within set national targets.
Main duties of the job
To be the first point of contact either face to face to answering incoming calls to patients, referrers, visitors, carers and other members of staff on a daily basis. The booking of radiology appointments involves long periods of concentration where accuracy is essential to ensure the patient receives the relevant appointment with the correct corresponding information and preparation.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Evidence of qualifications required ECDL or equivalent Evidence of a good standard of literacy/English Language skills NVQ2 in Customer Care, or Administration or equivalent
Experience Essential
Previous experience e of working in a busy administration office. Customer care experience.
Desirable
Previous experience of working in an NHS administration office.
Additional Criteria Essential
Ability to use initiative. Efficient, methodical, and flexible. Attention to detail Excellent telephone manner. Ability to deal with difficult customers face to face and over the telephone. Ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
