Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, experienced administrator to join the Endoscopy Booking Team as a Booking Clerk at Ipswich Hospital.
In this role you will be contacting patients via the phone, directly to book patients for their endoscopy procedures to assist diagnosis via our 18 week, urgent and 2 week wait pathways.
This role would be worked on a rota shift basis. Hours are between 08:00 and 16:00 . This may be subject to change upon needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for booking patients in line with the Trust 'Patient Access Policy' and ensuring that all patients are allocated to an appropriate endoscopy list and procedures are carried out as soon as possible.
You will need to be fully computer literate in all Microsoft applications and ideally have recent administrative experience. You will also need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Previous administrative role Advanced IT Systems including - Microsoft Office Working collaboratively as part of a team Experience of communicating with a range of people both within and external to the organisation
Desirable
Experience within relevant work area Experience of working with members of the public Knowledge of HICCS booking System.
Qualifications Essential
GCSE grade 5/C or equivalent in English and Maths NVQ level 3 in administration/secretarial or equivalent experience
Knowledge Essential
Experience of working in an acute setting Confidentiality and Data Protection Customer service
Desirable
Experience of working within an Endoscopy Unit
Skills Essential
