About this role

Job summary Successful applicants must be committed, prepared to provide high quality evidence-based care but be flexible and proactive in adapting to meet the needs of the service. You will possess effective communication skills and have the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. The work is varied, changes quickly and can be challenging.

If you are motivated, dedicated, passionate and ready to further develop your knowledge and skills in looking after the acutely unwell adult we would love to hear from you. Applicants must be prepared to work a shift pattern over a 24-hour period 7 days per week.

All applicants are required to have current UK NMC registration, with evidence of registrant clinical practice in the UK, or be a final-year nursing student studying in the UK.

Job Summary Would you like to join and enthusiastic, dynamic friendly team working in a fast-paced acute environment? We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to become part of the Emergency Departments at St James Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary.

Why you should join our Team Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Emergency operates across two main sites at St James’ Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary and has a designated Children’s Hospital. We are also the regional Trauma centre for adults and paediatrics. We see approximately 210,000 patients per year from a wide range of social and ethnic groups, making it one of the largest acute hospital trusts in England. Clinical working areas include Majors, Minors and Resus. We have a dedicated Clinical Practice Educator Team to ensure robust support and education as you begin your new journey.
