Job summary
We are looking to recruit a friendly and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team at Almond Road Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking GP practice, delivering high-quality patient care to our local community.
We are a welcoming practice run by three GP partners, supported by a large multidisciplinary team. The practice is continuing to grow following recent new housing developments in St Neots, and we are committed to developing our workforce alongside this expansion.
The role will involve approximately up to 4 sessions per week, with flexibility available depending on the successful candidate. Working hours will typically fall between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Job PurposeTo support the clinical team by providing a high-quality phlebotomy service, undertaking blood sample collection, basic observations, and ensuring accurate recording of patient information using SystmOne in line with practice protocols.

Clinical Duties
Undertake venepuncture safely and effectively for patients of all agesMeasure and record blood pressure where requiredPrepare and maintain clinical equipment required for proceduresEnsure correct labelling, handling, and storage of samples prior to collectionAdministration and Systems
Accurately record all patient interactions using SystmOneUse Ardens templates and clinical templates where appropriate to ensure consistent data entryEnsure all clinical codes and entries are recorded correctly and in a timely mannerSupport the smooth running of clinics through effective organisation and communicationPatient Care
Provide a professional, friendly, and reassuring service to patientsMaintain patient confidentiality at all timesManage patient flow effectively within clinicsInfection Control and Safety
