Main duties of the job
The Practice Nurse will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within the GP practice, supporting a wide range of clinical services including chronic disease management, health promotion, immunisations, cervical screening, wound care, and routine nursing treatments. The role involves caring for patients with long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hypertension, while encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and preventative healthcare.
Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention, control, and safeguarding policies and procedures.

Job SummaryThe Practice Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the GP practice, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred services. The role includes chronic disease management, health promotion, immunisations, cervical screening, wound care, and general treatment room duties.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes, support preventative healthcare initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of practice services.
