Weston Emergency Department are looking to recruit to 2 Clinical Fellow ST1-2 fixed term for 12 months commencing 5th August 2026 to 3rd August 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow ST1-2 to join the team and work in a friendly but fast passed Emergency Department!
This is a service provision post working clinically in the Emergency Department at Weston General Hospital, working a full rota with a mix of earlies, middles, lates and nights. The position is open to trainees and non-trainees. For those trainees who already have a UK National Training Number in Emergency Medicine, these posts are eligible for OOPT or OOPE.
You will be joining a forward thinking and dynamic trust. This post is based in Weston-super-Mare at Weston General Hospital which is just 20 miles from Bristol city centre.

Main duties of the job
Clinical: The reception, diagnosis and emergency treatment of patients presenting to the adult Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be given supervision and support from senior medical staff to develop competency in the autonomous clinical management of these patients whilst ensuring patient safety.
Managerial: The management responsibility of the post holder will be to the ED Clinical Lead who is responsible to the Clinical Chair, Chief Executive and Trust Board.
Clinical audit and clinical governance: The post holder must be aware of clinical governance and clinical risk management and take an active part in their implementation, including Quality Improvement Projects. Each post holder will participate in at least one supervised QIP during the 12-month post and will be encouraged to attend clinical governance meetings.
On-call Commitment: In ED the roster is a full shift system. Shifts are a mix of earlies, middles, lates and nights. The post's pay will be calculated by HR and will be compliant with the new Junior Doctor's contract.
