Job summary
MHCT has an established track record of delivering programmes and therapeutic support within schools and education settings. The Community Partnership Officer will play a key role in strengthening and sustaining relationships with schools, education providers and partner organisations in order to grow therapeutic provision through service level agreements and a high-quality education and training offer.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the postholder will support the development, coordination and quality of services delivered to schools and education providers. The role combines partnership development, training and workshop design and delivery, and day-to-day operational support to the Service Manager in order to strengthen service capacity and help ensure that systems, processes, performance monitoring, service standards and coordinated delivery are maintained across existing and future contracts.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities of this role fall into three main areas:
Developing partnerships and supporting the coordination, monitoring and review of service level agreements with schools, education providers and other organisations. Designing, coordinating and delivering high-quality training, workshops and related support in mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding. Supporting the Service Manager with operational oversight, service coordination, quality assurance, performance monitoring and the effective day-to-day running of the service, within agreed delegated authority.

Job description Job responsibilities
Develop and promote a high-quality package of support for schools, education providers and other organisations, including therapeutic delivery, training, workshops and related interventions, working to agreed targets that support sustainability and income generation, within agreed delegated authority.
Identify opportunities to build new relationships and strengthen existing partnerships with key stakeholders across schools, education settings and partner organisations.
Develop, coordinate and deliver workshops and training on safeguarding, mental health, wellbeing and other themes in response to identified need and demand.
Research, design, create and commission course content and learning resources that align with the organisations approach to safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing.
Coordinate the launch and scheduling of training provision, ensuring that delivery is well planned, responsive and of a consistently high standard.
Work closely with the Service Manager, and liaise with the Creative Therapeutic Services Programme Coordinator, to provide a seamless and joined-up service offer to schools, education providers and other partners.
Support the coordination, monitoring and review of service level agreements for schools, education providers and other organisations, ensuring effective communication and delivery oversight. Final approval and sign-off of service level agreements remains with the Service Manager.
Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly monitoring information and other performance reports to the Service Manager as required.
Actively market the education and training offer through agreed promotional activity, including attendance at events, meetings and open days
Support the coordination of projects within Creative Therapeutic Services, including acting as a link between service users, therapists, families and partner settings where required.
Liaise with therapists working within service level agreement schools and other partner settings as required to support effective delivery.
Work towards activity, quality and performance targets as agreed with the Service Manager.
Provide day-to-day operational support to the Service Manager, including helping to maintain effective systems, processes, service standards, reporting, delivery planning and coordinated service delivery across the team.
Work with the Service Manager, liaising with the Programme Coordinator where appropriate, to respond to complaints and enquiries promptly and appropriately.
Support the effective management of case notes and related records to ensure quality, accuracy and timely submission.
Support the effective day-to-day running of the Creative Therapeutic Services team, working closely with the Service Manager and alongside the Programme Coordinator as part of a coordinated service approach.
Work at all times in accordance with Murray Hall Community Trust policies and procedures, particularly those relating to health and safety, safeguarding, GDPR, confidentiality, equality and diversity.
The post has no formal line management responsibility, but will be expected to coordinate activity and maintain effective working relationships across colleagues, therapists, schools and partner organisations.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
Proven experience of working with schools and education providers. Understanding of the need for practical context combined with knowledge content in delivering training in an educational setting. Experience of working with Children aged 5-19, with a sound knowledge of all aspects of safeguarding and the wellbeing of Children and young people. Experience of coordinating, monitoring and evaluating service level agreement delivery.

Experience of developing services and sustaining effective working models with schools.
Knowledge and Skills Essential
Excellent writing, grammar and attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work with customers, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and the executive management team. Strong work ethic with ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaborate with others. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
Desirable
Knowledge of safeguarding practices for children, young people and adults.
Qualifications Essential
Qualification in education-related field to level 4 standard e.g. NVQ Level 4 Education and Training, Higher Level Teaching Assistant. GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade C or above.

Baseline knowledge of Mental Health First Aid and its application when supporting children, young people and adults.
General Attributes Essential
A pleasant approachable manner with a mature professional approach to working. A willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work, the post holder may occasionally be required to work outside of normal working hours. Ability and willingness to travel across schools, community venues and partner sites as required for service delivery, meetings and training. The quality to work on own initiative; prioritise a varied work programme whilst being under pressure. Maintain complete confidentiality regarding information and materials encountered in the course of the role, including commercially sensitive information. Willingness to maintain an enhanced DBS check, including barred list check where applicable, and current Update Service membership.
