Job summary

North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL ICB) is seeking an exceptional and experienced Deputy Director of All Age CHC Services to lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across our system.

The Deputy Director role is a critical senior leadership position with responsibility for the strategic, operational, financial and quality oversight of the CHC function. The postholder provides professional leadership across a complex and high-risk service area, ensuring compliance with the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS-funded Nursing Care, statutory obligations, and the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services.

Main duties of the job

Provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for CHC Clinical Services.Lead workforce development, performance management and service improvement.Ensure compliance with safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and LPS requirements.Lead quality assurance, audit and governance activities.Manage budgets and resources effectively.Provide expert clinical leadership, clinical supervision and oversight of complex cases.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications Essential

Educated to Masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification Registered General Nurse NMC Evidence of continued professional development

Experience Essential

Experience of managing complex and busy services and leading multiprofessionals teams Extensive knowledge and experience of specialist areas, including Continuing Health Care acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience and training. Experience of managing risks and reporting Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments Able to work with all providers to deliver the KPIs set out in their contracts

Knowledge Essential

Extensive knowledge and experience of specialist areas, including Continuing Health Care Good Knowledge of financial systems such as My Care Bank e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement Good understanding and Experience in managing Cost Improvement Programmes
