Job summary
The post holder will be working for Royal Free London Pharmacy, a wholly owned subsidiary of the RFL Group.The senior pharmacy technician provides pharmaceutical services in the outpatient pharmacy department ensuring efficient and high quality customer experience is maintained. As an Accuracy Checking Technician, you will be friendly and organised with a passion for providingexcellent patient experience
Main duties of the job
Prepare labels using the pharmacy computer system and correctly assemble prescriptions, ensuring each item is accurately dispensed and in the correct packaging, according to standard operating procedures (SOP).? Organise the timely supply of out of stock medication to patients, prioritise and delegate to other pharmacy team members when necessary.? Communicate any delays in supply to the appropriate person.? Counsel patients on the use of their dispensed medications, offering advice and answering any queries.? To provide information and advice to nursing and medical staff on all aspects of drug usage and availability.
