Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit a salaried GP on either a full-time or part-time basis, who would be motivated and committed to join our existing team of 3 GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, 2 Practice Nurses and a Nursing Assistant.

We are a busy GP practice located over 2 sites. The main site is on the outskirts of town and the branch site just a short drive away in Worsbrough Health Centre.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include providing high-quality clinical care through face-to-face, telephone, online and home visit consultations; diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions; prescribing and reviewing medication safely; making referrals and arranging investigations; maintaining accurate clinical records using SystmOne; contributing to QOF, enhanced services and PCN initiatives; participating in safeguarding, audits and quality improvement activities.
Rotas are set up to offer patients face-to-face appointments and telephone/video consultations between 7.00am-6.30pm daily.
On call duties are shared out each week and we allow for admin time and home visits between morning and afternoon sessions. There is a dedicated home visiting service in Barnsley and i-Heart 365 Barnsley (out of hours service) to support the practices in the locality.
All referrals are sent electronically and our experienced admin team are responsible for booking appointments through Choose & Book and sending the referral letter to the relevant service.

Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified General Practitioner Registered with the General Medical Council Included on the NHS Performers Register Licence to practise in the UK Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and quality improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
